REMEDY received €50,000 through the BOOST programme (Bringing financial support to innOvation and pOrtfolio activitieS increasing impact) to support its participation in PATH2ELMs. This strategic initiative aligns with the goals of the ELMs Strategic Plan and enables active contributions to key portfolio activities and the advancement of Engineered Living Materials (ELMs).
BOOST is a project funded by the European Commission that supports and complements European Innovation Council (EIC) programs such as EIC Pathfinder and EIC Transition.
The PATH2ELMs – Integration of REMEDY into the EIC Pathfinder ELMs Portfolio project integrates REMEDY’s interkingdom microbial ink technology into the EIC Pathfinder Engineered Living Materials (ELMs) portfolio, contributing to all key focus areas: Communication, Technology, Regulation, Path to Market, Environment & Sustainability, and ELSA. REMEDY is represented in the steering committee and all working groups, and will host the 2025 annual ELMs conference at InnoRenew CoE in Izola, Slovenia. Through collaboration with the Technology Council for Advanced Materials and alignment with initiatives such as the New European Bauhaus, PATH2ELMs strengthens the portfolio’s strategic impact. Ongoing efforts include the preparation of a joint MSCA Doctoral Network proposal to train the next generation of researchers in sustainable ELMs for construction, environmental, and health-related applications.
